June Gamble

Born and bred in Plymouth, June trained as a dancer before becoming a Dance Manager working with a range of professional Dance artists and companies that toured nationally and internationally including Yael Flexer’s Bedlam Dance Company, City Ballet of London and Hofesh Shechter.

In 2018, June was nominated and shortlisted for the One Dance UK Jane Attenborough Award for contribution to dance

As well as being the Coordinating Producer for Plymouth Dance, she is a Life and Business Coach, Trainer, Facilitator, Dance Management Consultant and a Partner of Grand Visionary Solutions.

Martha Scholefield

Martha graduated from University of Plymouth in 2018 with a First Class Honours Degree in Dance Theatre. She then undertook a 6 month joint internship with Exim Dance Company and Plymouth Dance and has continued to work with both companies since.

Martha is in her second year of being a One Dance UK Ambassador and Dance Consortium Future Leader, where she represents dance in the South West and is an active advocate for dance. She also works with Dance in Devon and Exim Dance Company and is a freelance practitioner too, delivering workshops, writing dance reviews and articles and in February 2019 she performed InArt Festival in Lisbon with Adam Benjamin and CiM Company.

Martha is a Project Coordinator for Plymouth Dance, running the Bitesized ‘Tea Dances with a Twist!’ in residential settings project across 10 care homes and is also a dancer at the public, monthly Tea Dance with a Twist! events. She also does pieces of design work and administration for the organisation and since Plymouth Dance co-formed the Peninsula Dance Partnership this year (2020) she has been involved with the ACE funded CPD programme as well.

Kaitlyn Howlett

Kaitlyn is originally from Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset, and is now a Dance and Taiko Artist based in Plymouth, Devon. After Completing a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing arts from Weston College. Kaitlyn progressed to The University of Plymouth graduating with a First Class BA Honors Degree in Dance Theatre 2017.

After Volunteering for Plymouth Dance and Exim Dance Company during her degree, Kaitlyn worked as an intern for both organisations over a 6 month period (2017-2018). Kaitlyn has continued to work for both organisations and is now a producer for Plymouth Dance, predominantly working on our Tea Dance with a Twist! project, the International Inclusive Dance Summer Intensive with Adam Benjamin, our professional development programme and coordinating other events in and around the city such as RESPECT Festival and Dance in the City. Kaitlyn has continued her role as Volunteer Coordinator becoming a permanent part of her work within the team.

Kaitlyn is excited for her upcoming roles within the company where she will be a producer for The Imagination Museum: Mayflower 400 project with Katie Green.
